Girls' Night Out || Cinderella

So the other night my mum and I went to a special girls night out at Hoyts. Hoyts was throwing a special event for girls to go and see the new Disney Cinderella film, they had teamed up with The Parcel, an online gift giving company, were you can sign up for as long or as little as you want and each month you get a little parcel delivered to your door full go the latest beauty trends. I really like this idea because it means you can try things out for a much cheaper price, before going and buy something with you many not end up liking. The parcel contained some cool things like false lashes and a really pretty champagne gold, holographic glitter O.P.I nail polish called Lips Are Dripping Honey, which I really adore the colour of. The parcel also contained some other things like the Outrageous Volume Mascara by Design Brands and a little travel size Wash Off self tan. I can't wait to test all these products and if I get time I will hopefully do a little review on all the products I received.

Now back to the movie, I have always loved Cinderella as a child growing up, so when I first saw the trailer for the new 2015 Cinderella I instantly knew I had to see it. The costumes in this film were absolutely phenomenal, I couldn't believe how beautiful they were, I wish I could own my own dress exactly like the one in the movie. The overall film was pretty good, although if you have seen Cinderella before you would know the basic storyline, so I was really anticipating anything big and exciting, but however I still really enjoyed the film despite knowing the story line. The setting of this film was absolutely beautiful and the way it was film just made it that more grand. I would highly recommend seeing this film not matter what age you are, its still an amazing classic.

Shenkin Kitchen || Enmore

So the other day before TAFE, my friends and I decided to go have a little bite to eat and a coffee. A couple weeks earlier my best friend and I went to this little cafe just to get a take away coffee, when we stumbled upon this little place I fell in love. It's such an adorable little cafe, which has a really nice mood and atmosphere, the staff are really friendly. The menu had such a nice variety of foods, I could have ordered all of the dishes but instead I just went for a chocolate croissant. For what you get, the food is quite reasonably priced and very, very tasty. The interior design of this place is pretty cool, I really love the old brick look and the lights on the ceiling were amazing, they had little wooden ladders with lights attached. The design of the cafe just gave it that extra beauty and atmosphere. If you are planning on visiting, you will find Shenkin Kitchen ad 129 Enmore Road, Enmore. I'm definitely going to be visiting again!

Beauty Favourites

So over the past months I have been collecting up all my favorite beauty products. As you will notice, I do have an extremely long list of products, and it took me a while to narrow it down to just these twelve products. Hope you guys enjoy this post.

This is my go to lipstick at the moment, I can't leave home without it. This lipstick is amazing for just your typical drugstore purchase i wasn't expecting much from it, but once I started wearing it I feel in love. It's a very smooth and very pigmented lipstick. I found it was leaving my lips dry, but instead leaving them quite moisturised even without the use of lip balm. I'm not a big fan of the bright and bold lip colours so when I discovered this lipstick I immediately feel in love with the colour. I would describe this colour to be a natural lip colour but a bit more accentuated.

I received this perfume as gift for Christmas last year, I remember first smelling this particular scent in one of those little samples you get in magazines, and from that day I knew I had to own it. This perfume is described as Lush Floral and Woody, it's a very amazing scent which is elegant but not to overpowering. I feel that this specific scent could work on people of all ages and would also work as an anytime perfume. This was my first ever expensive perfume and since receiving this gift set, it makes me want to get many more perfumes. The body lotion that came with this perfume is just as good, they both have the exact same smell, it leaves my skin feeling and smelling amazing. I find that if I do have a long day planned, I like to layer the body lotion as well as the perfume to guarantee a super long lasting scent, and even without layering them the scent still last for a long time. Whenever I do wear this scent I feel elegant, sophisticated and beautiful.

This spot treatment is amazing, I immediately feel in love when I first started using it. This product is absolutely worth your money. I would go back to another spot treatment after using this. I first discovered it whilst on vacation in Queensland at the begging of the year, I got given a sample when I purchased some stuff. Since I started using this product once a day I've noticed a remarkable difference in how my skin was looking compared to when I have used other supermarket products. This spot treatment is definitely on the more pricey side but I would defiantly repurchase.

I picked this lipliner up at Priceline during the Christmas school holidays, it only cost me two dollars so I wasn't really expecting much. Although I was greatly surprised, upon first applying it, I found it was defiantly a more buttery lipliner, it was highly pigmented, very smooth and applied to my lips very easily. This product had a great staying power and lasted for quite some time. I would highly recommend it, I will defiantly repurchase this product as appose to forking out twenty to thirty dollars on a more high end lipliner.

When I first received this mascara I was a bit hesitant about it, I used it for about a month and then got sick of it. Only recently I rediscovered it in the bottom of my makeup collection and I have fallen it love with in. This mascara is truly amazing, I have tried many different brands and types of mascara over the past years and I have never found mascara quite like this one. I always seem to struggle to find mascara that doesn't clump and won't wear out over the duration of the day, and this mascara does both those things. This mascara applies really evenly and doesn't clump at all, the brush is really good, its easy to get right up to the lash line as well as right into the corner of my eyes. It stays on really well and doesn't clump even after its all completely dried. It is however on the more high even of mascaras but its totally worth it, if your not into the clumpy manga looking eyes then this is a must have for your makeup collection.

I use this toner all the time, I spray it after my shower of in the mornings when I wake up. I find that it helps my skin stay more evenly toned and helps to reduce the oiliness of my skin in the mornings and nights. I use this in conjunction with my Lush spot treatment, and I find my skin looks amazing after using them, I always feel my better about how my skin looks. The toner is truly amazing to help reduce redness and any scaring I have soon my face.

You can't really go wrong with a moisturiser, this moisturiser is amazing because it doesn't feel heavy when you apply it neither does it leave you skin looking red or feeling irritated. Its perfect for all skin types especially if you're like me and have quite sensitive skin.

This eyeliner is amazing, once I first started using this eyeliner I feel in love. This eyeliner has such a smooth and creamy consistency that makes it so easy to apply, it also has a little bit of a shimmer in it, which adds that little extra beauty. This eyeliner is however on the more expensive side, but its defiantly worth the money. I highly recommend this is you are a winged eyeliner enthusiast because I find that it doesn't smudge throughout the duration of the day.

You can't really go wrong with this lip balm, my best friend first introduced me to this lip balm when I was over at her place and since that day I can't survive without having one in all my bags. It's a magical lip balm which truly does work and leaves your lips feeling replenished and extremely soft.

This product is a must have staple for every girl. I can't live without dry shampoo, not only does it help when your having a greasy hair day but I also find it helpful when I'm styling my hair, because it gives your hair that extra volume. Plus this dry shampoo smells amazing so it can hide that dirty hair smell. I have tried many different dry shampoos over my lifetime, but nothing has ever beaten this one so far.

This brow set has saved my life over the past months. I have always struggle with trying to find an eyebrow pencil that matched my original brow colour. So when I stumbled upon this set, I though would go wrong which hasn't already? So to my surprise when I first used this product, it matched my eyebrows perfectly. It was also a great purchase because I can use the templates to get the perfect brow shape. High recommended for makeup beginners.

I love using this lip scrub in the colder months when my lips are all dry and chased, I find that this makes them feel soft and smooth. It's such a wonderful product which everyone should have. I also love to apply this to my lips before applying lipstick, I normal leave to on whilst i put the rest of my makeup on and then I will normal just brush it off and then apply my lipstick after. I do however have to prevent myself from eating it because it does taste amazing. Highly recommend for very dry worn out, chapped lips.

Art Month || Solar Plate Etching

My Solar Plate Etching Design

So recently I have been quite inactive on my blog page, I'm sincerely sorry for that.

Over the past couple of weeks I have been bombarded with a giant workload, which has resulted in very little spare time to write any blog posts. Recently my school hosted its annual art month exhibition in which the many different years artworks were displayed. The above photographs are of Solar Plate Etchings prints that the class in which I am in created for this year's art month. Solar Plate Etching is a very fascinating form of printmaking, it involves first printing your image/collage onto a transparent film, the image is then transferred onto the Solar Plate, which in order to transfer must be left out in the sun for a couple of minutes. The plate is then washed with water. All that's left to after washing it is to place the different colour inks onto the plate, and then the image is printed onto a piece of paper using a etching press. This was an amazing experience that I really enjoyed, and would recommend to people of all artistic levels.

Once again I'm sincerely sorry for not keeping up to date, I will hopefully, very soon be posting a new blog post, until next time.
