Dealing With Stress

So for today's post, as you might have guessed by the title, I'm going to talk about how I personally deal with stress. Everyone has different methods of dealing with stress, I'm no professional when it comes to this stuff, but these methods work for me, so this might help one person reading this or maybe none, either way I felt like sharing this. Since stating year 10 the workload has increased considerably, meaning for a whole new world of stress and panic.

Firstly, let me reiterate that no matter how hard life is appearing - the world isn't ending. Eventually in many years the world may end but for the moment we have to live in the life we're currently in. You have to always remember that you don't need a new year, new week or even a new day to start fresh.

Whenever you feel stressed or panicked, take a big breath of fresh air then slowly release. Clear your head of all the worry and focus your energy on the one task ahead. I can't say this enough; over the years of schooling I have learnt that doing many things at the once can often end up in a bit of a breakdown. I know for a fact, that I can be quite lazy sometimes when it comes to completing work as soon as I receive it, but when I do, do my work as soon as it is handed to me, I can immediately notice a difference in my mind, body and spirit causing me to feel more stress free and relieved. Try not to let things build up till they overwhelm and keep you awake at night, and if this is your current situation, try taking a step back and look at where your stress is coming from. Consider what you can control - then try your best to work on that.

Spend most of your time focusing on your work, but always remember to make sure to save time for the stuff you love, this might be sitting in the backyard or going to see a film with a group of friends, either way make sure you make time for yourself and not just the workload. Also make sure you ask for help when you need it, don't just sit and guess because you will never learn if you don't ask questions.

Another key to making you stress less is time management and organisation, without either of these things I don't know how I would survive day in, day out. Make sure you find some source of organising like a year planner or a little diary. It can be anything, just make sure you have something to help you organise. It's also very important to stop comparing yourself to the person next to you but instead to the person you want to become. In life you will always have someone who you envy, instead embrace that envy and use it to produce your best work. Embrace your mistakes, don't destroy them with perfectionism, because at the end of the day you will learn from those mistakes and the next day you will strive to fix those mistakes.

Happy Birthday Dad!!!

So as you might have guessed by the title, it was my dad's birthday today. Today we spent my dad's birthday at Bicentennial Park in Glebe, this park is situated on the scenic foreshore of Rozelle Bay. I really love going to this park, because it links up with Jubilee Park meaning for a very large area to ride a bike around and have a game of Cricket or Soccer. The scenery throughout this park is very beautiful, meaning for a very enjoyable ride, I highly recommend this park for any occasions. The main reason of this post was to say Happy Birthday to my dad and thank you for all you have done over the past years of having to put up with me. I'd also like to wish Happy Birthday to anyone else who has a birthday today, I hope your having a wonderful day with people you love the most.

I have put a little collection of photos above that I took during my many bike rides. I hope you like them, although they don't quite show the true beauty of this park.

Day In Bilpin

Pre-Warning: Very Picture Heaving Post
Family Adventure Time Begins

Last stop before heading home

See you next time Bilpin
So the other day, my family and I decided to go on a drive to the small town of Bilpin, which is located in the Blue Mountains Hawkesbury area. Bilpin is a very small populated town with just over 900 residents. Upon entering you can definitely notice a change in scenery. It went from the bustling Sydney city filled with tall buildings and large amount of motorists, to a very long open road lined with roadside fruit stalls, fruit orchards and beautiful gardens, all thriving with produce. Throughout this drive I was able to appreciate the beauty of the country and what it looks like away from the city centre. The main road in Bilpin is Bells Line of Road, running right through the middle of the town. Driving along this road, one of the first things I seemed to notice was how quite it was and how you could hear the chirping of the different types of birds. This was a change form what I'm used to but I found it very relaxing and I could just clear my head of all drama and stress.

I had an amazing day being able to pick my own fruit and vegetables straight off the trees and bushes, and by the time my family and I had finished up we had bags and boxes full of fresh produce just waiting to be eaten. If any of you ever think of visiting Bilpin for the day I would highly recommend visiting Pine Crest Orchard, this place goes on forever, but has quite a range of different fruits for low prices. Also, if you wanted both fruits and vegetables you can't go past Bilpin Fruit Bowl which orchards stretch for over 50 acres, this place also has many different types of fruits and vegetables
 available to be picked.

Overall I had an amazing day with my family and getting to experience a different part of New South Wales that I hadn't seen before. To all you who are reading this, I would highly recommend taking one day to go and explore the places around you and get a look at the different cities near by, or even if you just go to clear you head of everything thats going on in your head.

Throughout the day I also decided to take some photographs of what I got up to and all the different scenery I saw throughout the day. I hope you enjoy and like the images I took, just a side note I'm not a professional photographer so sorry if the photographs aren't the highest quality.
